Product Characteristics

Non-Tuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM) infections had become more popular in the world especially in AIDS and chronic respiratory disease patients. Diseases caused by NTM are hard to distinguish from tuberculosis and many NTM strains are resistant to first-line antituberculosis drugs. Routine methods for drug susceptibility test are slow, expensive and rarely available in resource-limited settings. It often takes several weeks to produce a result, delays the institution of effective treatment, thereby increasing the risk . The DR Microorganism IVD kit provides an easier production process and lower material cost which could not only identify MTBC and 17 NTM but also detect the Rifampicin (RIF) resistance.

Targets

1. Identify MTBC (M.Tuberculosis complex) and 17 NTM (Non-Tuberculosis Mycobacterium) species, and the 17 NTM including:M.abscessus、M.asiaticum、MAC (M. avium complex)、M.chelonae、M.fortuitum、M.gordonae、M.haemophilum、M. kansasii、M.lentiflavum、M. malmoense、M. marinum、M.neoaurum、M.peregrinum、M.scrofulaceum、M.shimoidei、M.szulgai、M.xenopi 2. Rifampin resistant gene mutation detection. kansasii、M.lentiflavum、M. malmoense、M. marinum、M.neoaurum、M.peregrinum、M.scrofulaceum、M.shimoidei、M.szulgai、M.xenopi。
In addition, the hot spots where the rpoB gene of Mycobacterium tuberculosis group is prone to mutations are detected to confirm whether mutations and drug resistance have occurred.

Specimens

Cultured colony, including from of 7H11、L-J slant and MGIT960 broth medium.
